Westfield Country Club is excited to announce the seasonal job opportunity of dining room host and food runner/busser. This position is a dual role at the club, offering experience at two highly interactive, guest-facing positions at the club. Organizational skills are developed and tested in the role of host, where reservation details are very important, and lines of walk-in customers must be greeted promptly and delegated to server sections properly to ensure proper flow in the dining room. Meanwhile, the host needs to answer incoming phone calls and handle to go orders with effortless grace. Your role is incredibly important to avoid over seating, chaos, and customer dissatisfaction at the club. Are you up to the challenge? As a food runner/busser, menu knowledge and service timing are learned quickly as you act as the liaison between the fast pace of the kitchen and the calm of the dining room without letting the guests see you sweat. Easy, right? This is the step between no restaurant experience and working as a server, and the host position at Westfield Country Club will teach you what you need to know to become a knowledgeable server. The Spring of 2026 will open with a brand-new clubhouse, a state-of-the-art dining room and bar, a new pool facility, and an exciting new menu and concept. Join a new food and beverage team where personal development is a promise, where every member has the opportunity to contribute and learn, and where every member of the team is valuable. Pay starts at $11 per hour plus tips. The Host is responsible for performing various food service operations tasks such as taking reservations, seating guests, setting tables, bussing and cleaning tables, answering phones, taking and processing to go orders, running food, and ensuring assigned workstations are properly setup and stocked for assigned shifts. The role ensures sanitization in compliance with proper food safety and organization standards and performs side work tasks related to the operation of the dining room. This role works as part of a team in the club food and beverage department and will need to work and communicate well with support staff, including servers, managers, cooks, dishwashers, and bartenders. Hosts will be assigned to events from time to time if business needs dictate.
