About The Position

As a Parks Maintenance Worker I or II (Seasonal) , you’ll support the overall care, safety, and appearance of City parks, trails, open space areas, and public amenities. This role performs manual labor in various areas of park maintenance—including mowing, irrigation support, trash and recycling duties, plant care, construction projects, and trail upkeep—to ensure Greenwood Village’s natural spaces remain safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. Requirements

Customer service-related techniques and high customer service skills.
Ability to learn safe operation of small, motorized equipment.
Seasonal Maintenance Worker I: Must be at least sixteen years old.
Seasonal Maintenance Worker II: Must be at least eighteen years old.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Colorado driver’s license with a driving record satisfactory for City insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

Turf Mowing: Perform daily mowing of bluegrass in teams using small riding and hand-operated equipment.
Trail & Open Space Mowing: Mow tall coarse grasses along paths, trails, and open space sites using hand-operated equipment.
Irrigation System Repairs: Assist with irrigation system repairs under supervision of irrigation personnel.
Tree & Planting Bed Maintenance: Assist with care and maintenance of trees and planting beds using hand and power tools.
Paths, Fences, Park Amenities & Construction Projects: Support maintenance and construction tasks under direction of supervisors or full-time staff.
Trash & Recycling: Perform daily trash route duties, including removing and inspecting trash/recycling containers and picking up loose debris.
