About The Position

The Schwebel Baking Company is seeking seasonal manufacturing employees. Seasonal pay is $19/hr! MUST HAVE OPEN AVAILABILITY - (any day of the week, any of the 3 shifts). During our busy season (summertime) employees will work 6-7 days a week. Opportunity to get hired on at the end of the season. Employees have the ability to earn extra income from overtime This is an entry level position; may assist various machine operators, may be assigned a variety of manual labor tasks in the production of bakes goods. May be assigned shipping and/or sanitation duties as well. Generally reports to shift supervisor, duties may vary from day to day. Able to perform basic math and computer skills. Maintain and follow all sanitation guidelines and practices. Must abide by The Schwebel Baking Company’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s). Must be able to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Frequently bending, standing for long periods of time, kneeling, stooping, twisting, and climbing. Must be able to pass a basic functional competency test. Must be able to pass a routine drug test (this includes THC) and background test. Requirements

Responsibilities

Arrives on or before scheduled start time to properly review duties for the day.
Assists machine operators in set up and monitoring of equipment.
Monitors product quality according to company standards (proper size, color, texture, slicing, packaging, etc.).
Physically handles product, materials, and equipment (pan trucks, baskets, racks, pans, product, etc.).
Keeps equipment and area clean and orderly.
Properly wears personal protective equipment as supplied and directed by the company; wears uniform/clothing in accordance with GMP/ company standards.
Communicates/coordinates with others to maintain and assure proper product flow.
Assists other members of the bakery team where needed (breakdowns/emergencies, etc.).
Performs sanitation, production, and/or shipping functions as required by plant supervision, as well as other duties as directed by plant management.
Practices and complies with all company policies and procedures including safety and work rules.
Performance of other duties as assigned by the Plant Supervision.
