About The Position

Shift: 10:00 PM-6:00 AM Hourly Rate: $18.50 an hour + $0.40 "NEW" Rate 4/1/26: $19.15/hour shift differential You will work onsite at the Conagra Brands, Imlay City, Michigan facility. We are the home of the Vlasic brand. A Night in the Life of a Sanitation Technician: This is a seasonal, midnight shift position, regular hours 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. with weekend overtime demand. You will receive the base pay of $19.15/hour + $.40 shift differential. You will report to the Sanitation Crew Lead and Team Lead. Your shift will consist of the industrial cleaning of the production areas. The season runs April to December. As we are a unionized facility, you will obtain seniority after 30 days and have recall rights each year. You will work in a wet working environment and will be provided appropriate protective gear to include, hard hat, face shield, chemical gloves, rain gear, safety/rain boot.

Responsibilities

  • The Sanitation Technician properly sanitizes assigned areas.
  • Sanitize assigned areas observing quality standards.
  • Operate machinery and equipment.
  • Disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling machinery following safety and quality cleaning standards.
  • Follow standard work instructions.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to take on job tasks.
  • Remain productive.
  • Train employees according to standards.
  • Perform Lock Out Tag Out.
  • Obtain chemical training.
  • Support quality and environmental mission and goals.
  • Identify any foreign or defective materials or products and report findings to the team members.
  • Document quality checks specific to the operation.
  • Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
  • Inspect workstation(s) to ensure all equipment is in safe working condition.
  • Follow safe work practices, good manufacturing practices (GMP's,) maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained observing company policy.
