About The Position

Normandy Farm & The Farmer's Daughter Summer at The Farmer’s Daughter means one thing — our beautiful outdoor terrace comes alive. If you're the bartender guests ask by name and you love the energy of a packed patio on a summer night , we want to meet you. We are seeking experienced, outgoing bartenders to join our team for the outdoor terrace season (approximately mid-April through October) . Our terrace is one of the most popular gathering spots on the property — a lively, upscale outdoor space where guests come for sunset cocktails, happy hour, and dinner on warm summer evenings. This position is ideal for bartenders who enjoy high-energy patio service, strong guest interaction, and busy summer shifts . During peak terrace season, our terrace is one of the busiest and most exciting areas of the restaurant, offering excellent earning potential for experienced bartenders. Position Overview The Terrace Bartender is responsible for creating a welcoming and energetic bar experience while preparing quality beverages and delivering exceptional service in our outdoor dining space. This role requires strong bartending & serving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a positive guest experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Schedule & Availability This is a seasonal position running approximately mid-April through October . Applicants must be available to work a minimum of two shifts per week . Typical shift hours: Weekdays: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM Weekends: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM Availability for weekends, holidays, and special events may be required.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • 2–3 years of bartending experience preferred , ideally in a high-volume or upscale hospitality environment
  • Must be RAMP certified or willing to obtain RAMP certification
  • Strong knowledge of cocktail preparation and service standards
  • Excellent guest interaction and hospitality skills
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced outdoor environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting during service
  • Able to lift 25 lbs. independently and 50 lbs. with assistance

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service
  • Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, and wine according to approved recipes
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area
  • Prepare garnishes, mixes, and other bar prep items before service
  • Assess guest preferences and make appropriate food and beverage recommendations
  • Accurately process payments and maintain bar tabs
  • Maintain and ensure proper stock levels during service
  • Maintain cleanliness of bar area, equipment, and surrounding workspace
  • Follow all company policies and service standards
  • Communicate effectively with management and team members to ensure smooth service
