Seasonal Vegetation Technician
About The Position
Do you enjoy spending time outdoors, identifying plants, hiking, operating UTVs, and 3-day weekends? Are you passionate about maintaining outdoor spaces? Do you enjoy working in an environment where no two days are the same? If yes, this is the perfect position for you! If you are a motivated individual who takes pride in their work and enjoys working outdoors, the Cache County Vegetation Management Division invites you to apply for the Seasonal Vegetation Management Technician position. This is a full-time, seasonal position working 40 hours per week, Monday-Thursday with occasional Fridays as needed. This seasonal position will begin 5/4/2026 and end Mid-August.
Requirements
- Education: Graduation from High School or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Nice To Haves
- Previous related experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with plant identification
- GPS mapping
- Treatment of noxious weeds
- Other vegetation control measures
- Operating UTVs
- Driving pickup trucks while pulling trailers
- Using boats to spray noxious weeds in aquatic areas
- Hiking with backpack sprayers to perform chemical weed management practices
