HOW A NETWORK ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT ● Responsible for the design and development of voice, video, radio frequency, and/or data communications networks ● Configure, deploy, and manage load balancing tools, firewalls, email security appliances, and web proxies. ● Develop and implement security policies and procedures in accordance with industry best practices and organizational requirements for security policy implementation. ● Monitor SecDev tools for performance and security logs to identify and respond to potential threats and vulnerabilities. ● Participate in security incident response activities, including the investigation, documentation, and remediation of security incidents, for incident response. ● Conduct regular network security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements for network security assessments. ● Manage F5s, firewalls, email security appliances and web proxy firmware upgrades and patches to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure for upgrades and patching. ● Work closely with other IT and security teams to design and implement network security solutions for collaboration. ● Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of firewall configurations, changes, and network diagrams for documentation. ● Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to boundary devices to ensure they are up to date with the latest security features and firmware. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: ● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science ● Required Experience: 2+ years of related experience ● Required Technical Skills: Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, SSL/TLS, and related protocols. ● Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/Poly ● Required Skills and Abilities: Experience with network security concepts and technologies ● Other specific skills or competencies communication and problem solving ● Location: On Site ● US Citizenship Required ● IAT Level II certified ● Ability to work on call rotation as needed. ● Work hours: 8 hours per day (Mon-Fri). Specific hours agreed upon between employee and supervisor. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
  • Required Experience: 2+ years of related experience
  • Required Technical Skills: Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, SSL/TLS, and related protocols.
