About The Position

Nampa Christian Schools, through a Christ-centered partnership with families and Churches, exists to glorify God with our HEART, HEAD, and HANDS. The Secondary Social Studies Teacher will partner in the discipleship and instruction of students to provide a high quality education with the Gospel and a Biblical Worldview as its foundation. Reporting Structure This teaching position will report to the High School Principal. Position Type This is a contracted, exempt, salaried position. Compensation Commensurate with experience. (Matt. 28:19-20, Mark 16:15) Requirements Nampa Christian School seeks a dedicated and compassionate certified teacher to teach Secondary Social Studies courses. There is a potential for part time and/or full time. This position focuses on developing students’ knowledge and understanding of how we as God’s people fit into His sovereign and perfect plan for His people throughout history.

Requirements

  • Committed Christian with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ who models Christian Character and values in all interactions.
  • Supports the school's mission to develop students spiritually as well as academically
  • Demonstrates ability to teach and apply Biblical Worldview to integrate faith and learning
  • Prior experience working with youth
  • Possesses a professional demeanor, strong work ethic and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Willingness to participate in school chapel services and discipleship activities
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills
  • Able to effectively monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of student achievement
  • Maintains regular communication with parents regarding students
  • This position at a minimum requires a commitment to teach 4 periods per day, August - May.
  • Hold a BA/BS/Undergraduate degree from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Prefer a current State of Idaho Teaching certificate, or willingness to pursue certification.
  • Hold a current ACSI certification or will commit to completing the requirements for certification within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Be highly qualified in teaching ability and knowledge of Social Studies.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in teaching social studies is preferred
