Cleveland Clinic Children’s Center for Autism is committed to the treatment, education, and research of autism spectrum disorders in children, adolescents, and young adults. As a Secretary II, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the department while serving as a welcoming and compassionate point of contact for families. This role requires empathy and sensitivity when assisting families who may be seeking answers about a potential diagnosis or navigating life after an autism diagnosis. A caregiver in this position works 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital for Rehabilitation - Center for Autism (2801 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., Cleveland, OH 44104)

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of experience in medical records in a similar capacity
  • Thorough knowledge of JCAHO principles and medical record theory and practice

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of college and/or business school
  • Experience with EPIC, appointment scheduling, insurance authorizations, managing phones and interacting with patients and families

Responsibilities

  • Compose, type and transcribe correspondence, forms, reports, presentation materials and other written communications.
  • Receive and screen visitors and telephone calls.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, conferences, special events, appointments and travel arrangements.
  • Maintain assigned calendars.
  • Establish and maintain filing systems.
  • Order and stock supplies.
