About The Position

Provide assimilation of documentation, development of correspondence, checking documents for accuracy, organizing files, maintaining spreadsheets, etc.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have and maintain a SECRET security clearance
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, without special restrictions
  • Proficient in using MS Windows and MS Word/Excel applications
  • Ability to use e-mail and internet browsers i.e., Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft explorer
  • Skillful in working with the general public
  • Capable of working independently
  • Possess basic telephone skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Must be able speak, write, read, and understand English
  • Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to adjust to new or changing instructions
  • Must be able to multi-task and complete assignments accurately and on time

  • Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality

Responsibilities

  • Counsels and advises both military and civilian personal based on Domestic or International movement of Personal Property based on an analysis and interpretation of transportation tariffs, entitlements, and/or classifications or rate structure.
  • Knowledge of all modes of transportation for movement of personal property, passengers, and cargo to include factors affecting that transportation, such as public laws, foreign requirements, organization's policies, and limitations/capabilities of the different transportation modes.
  • Prepares and/or processes documents to complete moves and arranges for shipping of property including rail, air, sea, and vehicle.
  • Resolve controversial procedural problems involving entitlements of DoD members.
  • Maintains travel and passenger traffic records, reports, and correspondence.
  • Books Air Mobility Command flights through GATES for members who are PCSing.
  • Performs one on one/ Mass Briefing’s for members PCSing to Oversea/ CONUS Locations.
  • Review and finalize reports.
  • Assists with conducting cost comparison analysis to determine the best mode of transportation.
  • Operate small office machines, such as calculators, fax machines, scanning devices, and copy machines.
  • Conduct general office procedures, such as preparing reports, spreadsheets, and filing.
  • Assists contract employees with gaining access to government networks.
  • Process monthly reports
  • Assist Program Manager with all administrative requirements as assigned
  • Respond to questions and requests for information
  • Assist with monthly reports and instructor availability.
  • Additional duties as assigned
