The Lorain County Workforce Development Agency provides access to services that are targeted to meet the workforce-related needs of area employers, job-seekers, and youth preparing to enter the world of work. The Agency provides oversight to the operation of Lorain County’s One-Stop employment center, known as OhioMeansJobs Lorain County. Under direction, a successful candidate types, records, and files documents processed through individual departments; takes and transcribes dictation; opens, screens, sorts and distributes mail; answers telephone and screens or transfers calls to appropriate individual; greets public; schedules meeting and appointments. The successful candidate will assist with other administrative duties, including answering phone calls from the public, other county agencies, and directing those calls appropriately. The individual will be responsible for assisting with the scheduling of meetings and staffing the meetings to take notes and compose meeting minutes as required.
