About The Position

In this position as a Securities Analyst 3 i n the Rates & Analysis, Accounting & Finance division, you will primarily serve as a financial analyst with responsibility to review financing applications seeking PUCO authorization to issue both short- and long-term securities. In addition, this position will be a lead reviewer assessing the financial capability of competitive retail energy suppliers as part of the PUCO certification process. This position will also assist in conducting audits associated with rate case proceedings. Report in location\: 180 E. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43215, Franklin County. PUCO core hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8\:00am to 5\:00pm, however, daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across PUCO departments. Most positions perform work on-site at the PUCO Central Office. Flex-time schedules are based on operational need and require supervisor approval.

Requirements

  • 24 mos. exp. performing criminal investigations; 48 mos. trg. or 48 mos. exp. in state &/or federal laws & regulations & agency's policies & procedures governing investment securities & investment securities examining practices & in performing securities examinations; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in public relations; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in general management principles/techniques; valid driver's license.
  • 24 mos. exp. examining financial records for firm, government agency or financial institution; 48 mos. trg. or 48 mos. exp. in state &/or federal laws & regulations & agency's policies & procedures governing investment securities & investment securities examining practices & in performing securities examinations; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in public relations; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in general management principles/techniques; valid driver's license.
  • Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration (i.e., accounting or finance); 48 mos. trg. or 48 mos. exp. in state &/or federal laws & regulations & agency's policies & procedures governing investment securities & investment securities examining practices & performing securities examinations; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in public relations; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in general management principles/techniques; valid driver's license.
  • 12 mos. exp. as Securities Analyst 2, 66612; valid driver's license.
  • Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
