The Securities Based Lending (SBL) Advisor is an experienced lending professional responsible for supporting the delivery and growth of Citi Private Bank’s SBL offering across the Americas. This role requires strong technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal partners. The Advisor applies advanced disciplinary knowledge to enhance existing practices and contribute to the development of new methodologies, processes, and workflows. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the Securities‑Based Lending business, including hands‑on experience in credit structuring and familiarity with relevant industry products and services. A solid awareness of applicable legal and regulatory requirements in the region is essential. The role involves evaluating complex, variable issues with significant potential impact. The Advisor must effectively analyze multiple inputs, weigh alternative solutions, and navigate competing priorities to reach sound conclusions. Strong analytical capabilities are critical to distill, prioritize, and validate information from diverse sources. Effective communication, sound judgment, and diplomacy are required, as the Advisor frequently assumes both formal and informal leadership responsibilities. The individual will also contribute to the training and development of new team members. The SBL Advisor partners closely with the Global SBL Head and regional counterparts to advance strategic priorities for the business. This includes consistent collaboration with Private Bankers, Lending Advisors, Underwriters, and Risk teams to ensure alignment, enable seamless execution, and enhance the client experience. The role requires the ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned initiatives, and contribute meaningfully to broader regional SBL objectives.
