About The Position

As a Security Analyst at Centrus Energy, you’ll help safeguard critical information, people, and assets at the American Centrifuge Operating facility in Oak Ridge. You’ll operate at the intersection of compliance, physical protection, and operational readiness—supporting a highly regulated nuclear environment where precision and vigilance matter every day.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business administration, security management, physical security, or related field, or equivalent experience
2+ years of security-related experience
Strong working knowledge of safeguards and security principles, including NRC regulations
Experience using Microsoft Office and preparing reports and documentation
The ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience with NRC/DOE or other regulating agency procedures, practices, policies, and requirements

Responsibilities

Support the implementation and continuous improvement of physical, information, and personnel security programs
Ensure compliance with NRC and DOE requirements while maintaining a strong security posture
Evaluate site and policy changes for regulatory impact
Conduct change analyses to protect system effectiveness
Support intrusion detection systems
Perform audits and self-assessments
Assist with investigations and regulatory inspections
Guide employees and contractors on security protocols
Help deliver security training
Serve as a point of contact for controlled article entry and security issues
Step in as backup leadership when needed—sometimes on rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
