About The Position

If you’re the kind of person who notices what others miss and believes security is both a science and a strategy, this role is for you. As a Security Analyst at Centrus Energy, you’ll help safeguard critical information, people, and assets at the American Centrifuge Operating facility in Oak Ridge. You’ll operate at the intersection of compliance, physical protection, and operational readiness—supporting a highly regulated nuclear environment where precision and vigilance matter every day. You will support the implementation and continuous improvement of physical, information, and personnel security programs, ensuring compliance with NRC and DOE requirements while maintaining a strong security posture. This includes evaluating site and policy changes for regulatory impact, conducting change analyses to protect system effectiveness, supporting intrusion detection systems, performing audits and self-assessments, and assisting with investigations and regulatory inspections. You’ll guide employees and contractors on security protocols, help deliver security training, serve as a point of contact for controlled article entry and security issues, and step in as backup leadership when needed—sometimes on rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business administration, security management, physical security, or related field, or equivalent experience
2+ years of security-related experience
Strong working knowledge of safeguards and security principles, including NRC regulations
Experience using Microsoft Office and preparing reports and documentation
The ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” clearance.

Nice To Haves

3+ years of experience working with security systems
Experience in performance assurance or performance testing
Experience delivering security-related training
Background in vulnerability or risk analysis
Professional security certifications such as Physical Security Professional or other recognized physical security certifications
An active “Q” level security clearance
