About The Position

The Security Assistant Shift Manager works closely with the Security Shift Manager to oversee security operations during designated shifts, providing leadership to security personnel and maintaining a secure environment for guests, patrons and Members as well as security property assets. This role requires effective communication skills, a strong understanding of security procedures, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least two (2) years of leadership experience required
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft 365, Excel, and all essential systems and IT applications
  • Certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED required, will be trained
  • Literacy and fluent in English
  • Proven ability to maintain the confidentiality of the material being handled
  • Must have a valid Drivers’ License and clean driving record
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and industry standards
  • Ability to complete defensive tactics & handcuffing certification
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Report writing skills
  • Full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, policies, and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Security Shift Manager to oversee security operations during designated shifts, ensuring the smooth and effective execution of security protocols
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to security personnel, fostering a cohesive and professional team environment
  • Ensure security measures to safeguard guests, Members, and our resort
  • Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, or disturbances, coordinating with relevant departments and external agencies when necessary
  • Manager security personnel during shifts, ensuring that Members adhere to proven procedures and conduct themselves professionally
  • Provide training, mentorship, and coaching to security Members
  • Complete company compliance training and requirements
  • Maintain a strong security presence, patrolling designated areas to deter and address security breaches
  • Review and/or prepare incident reports
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure a unified approach to security
  • Provide excellent guest service by helping guests, patrons and Members in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Creates weekly schedules and manages Members timekeeping for payroll
  • Maintain and respect confidentiality of guests, patrons and Members
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
