About The Position

As a Security Consultant in Mandiant's Security Transformation Services team, you will be responsible for helping clients effectively prepare for, proactively mitigate, and respond to cyber security threats. You will have an understanding of computer science, operating system functionality and networking, cloud platform architecture, corporate enterprise architecture, and how to apply this knowledge to cyber security threats. In this role, you will assist clients navigate, remediate, and recover from technically high-profile incidents, lead and deliver security transformation engagements, and be the technical advocate for information security requirements and best practices. You will articulate and present concepts to business stakeholders, executive leadership, and technical teams. In this role, you will leverage Mandiant incident response, assessment, transformation, managed detection and response, and training services to provide direct tactical support to clients. As a part of the Security Transformation Services team, you will remediate security incidents quickly, effectively, and at scale with complete incident response including investigation, containment, remediation, and crisis management. You will leverage Mandiant's position as a recognized leader in dynamic cyber defense, threat intelligence and incident response services within Google Cloud to enable organizations to be confident in their readiness to defend against and respond to cyber threats through decades of frontline experience.Part of Google Cloud, Mandiant is a recognized leader in dynamic cyber defense, threat intelligence and incident response services. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in information security and engineering, working with cloud-based infrastructure environments.
4 years of experience with identity and access management with tech stacks (e.g., Active Directory, GCP Cloud Computing Platform, Entra ID, Palo Alto, Cisco), enterprise architecture and cloud architecture with one cloud platform.

Nice To Haves

Certification in one or more of the following: CompTIA Security+; CompTIA Network+; ISC2 (CISSP); SANS-GIAC certification (GSEC, GCIH, GCED, GCFA, GCIA, GNFA, GPEN, GWAPT); CISCO (CCNA); EC-Council (CEH, LPT).
Experience communicating remediation recommendations and strategies to technical staff, executive leadership, legal counsel, and internal and external clients.
Experience in incident response remediation or disaster recovery.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop documentation and explain technical details in a concise manner.
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead, co-ordinate, and conduct technical security assessments for cloud-based security infrastructures and platforms.
Assist clients with designing and implementing architecture enhancements, security configurations, identity protections, cloud workflows, and appropriate countermeasures to defend against threats and attacker techniques.
Build scripts, tools, or methodologies to enhance Mandiant's on-premise Active Directory or Cloud Assessment processes.
Develop and present comprehensive and accurate reports, training, and presentations for technical and executive audiences.
Communicate strategies and roadmap initiatives to client stakeholders including technical staff, executive leadership, and legal counsel through comprehensive and accurate reports and presentations for both technical and executive audiences.
