About The Position

The Security Coordinator is a member of the Global Security Organization and is responsible for greeting employees and guests at NBCUniversal’s Corporate Headquarters at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. They will report to the Manager, Guest Reception.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in Guest Reception, Hospitality, Customer Service, or Security (or similar field)
• Experience issuing guests and employee credentials
• Experience using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and web applications
• Ability to maintain a corporate presence, professional demeanor, and positive attitude while assisting employees and their guests
• Available and willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

• Experience with HID Safe and Lenel a plus
• 64+ College Credits or Military Experience (honorable discharge) Active Duty/Reservist (preferred but not required)
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Ability to successfully adapt to changes in the work environment
• Ability to work well on a team, independently, and with divisions external to the Security organization (e.g., Human Resources, Legal, EHS, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Greet employees and their guests with courtesy and professionalism. Review access permissions and process appropriate identification in a timely manner
• Answer phones and respond to email requests courteously and professionally
• Prioritize customer service and guest satisfaction as a representative of 30 Rockefeller Plaza, NBCUniversal, and Global Security Operations
• Follow all processes and protocols set forth by management at all times
• Make prompt notifications to appropriate team members during unusual situations or emergencies. Handle all situations in an attentive, calm, and controlled manner
• Actively take part in training programs as directed
• Process requests to onboard new hires
• Process requests to offboard former employees
• Assist with covering the Employee Registration office (as necessary)
• Assist with covering the executive security reception desk (as necessary)
• Partner with organizations outside of Global Security to generate access reports, change access control, admit guests, etc. (as necessary)
