About The Position

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Responsible for dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls for Tribal Security and Tribal EMS. Primary Tasks: Using a computer aided dispatch system, receives and logs calls for service, determine priorities, and dispatches necessary Security or on-site EMS units in accordance with established procedures. Mains contact with all units on duty; maintains status and location of Security and EMS Units. Assists the Supervisor in training, direction, coordination, and evaluation of the activities of trainees. Answers non-emergency calls for assistance Perform other duties as may be assigned. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Currently possess or can obtain and maintain certification as required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal skills, multitasking ability, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum direction and communicate with groups and or individuals quickly and effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Must have knowledge of and ability to work with appropriate hardware and software.

  • Previous dispatch experience preferred but not required
