About The Position

The Village at Germantown is seeking an experienced and service-oriented Security/EMT Manager to lead our Security and Emergency Medical Response team. Reporting to the Director of Support Operations, this role is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and responsive environment for residents, visitors, and staff across our campus. This position combines leadership, emergency response, regulatory oversight, and customer service. The ideal candidate is an experienced EMT professional with strong supervisory skills and a commitment to safety excellence.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3–5 years of EMT experience required
  • 3–5 years of supervisory or management experience required
  • Advanced EMT and CPR certifications required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and inspection processes
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift, and carry equipment
  • Ability to walk or run short distances in emergency situations
  • Ability to navigate campus and travel to local hospitals
  • Must be available for on-call support when off property

Nice To Haves

  • Life Safety Certification preferred (required upon hire if not currently certified, CLSS-HC Exam per the NFPA)

Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, train, and evaluate all Security/EMT staff
  • Ensure prompt response to all resident and staff emergency calls
  • Coordinate ambulance or medical transport services as needed
  • Patrol campus and oversee security operations to prevent intrusion and ensure safety
  • Respond to fire alarms and coordinate with the fire department
  • Investigate suspicious activity and coordinate with law enforcement as needed
  • Schedule department staff and conduct monthly training meetings
  • Review incident reports and ensure accurate documentation
  • Maintain EMT equipment, including auditing and stocking emergency “jump bags”
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and EMT certification requirements
  • Support campus operations after hours, including resident services and facility needs
  • Monitor building systems and identify potential safety hazards
  • Assist with hiring and department quality assurance initiatives
