Coury Hospitality has an amazing opportunity as a Security Experience Curator (HOA). 🛡️ SECURITY EXPERIENCE CURATOR (HOA) Hard Rock Hotel San Diego 📍 On-Site | Full-Time Protect the Experience. Lead with Presence. Keep It Safe. As a Security Experience Curator, you are the protector of the guest experience—ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors. Your presence is both reassuring and proactive, helping prevent issues before they arise while responding with professionalism when needed. If you’re observant, calm under pressure, and committed to safety and service, this is your stage.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of security experience, preferably in hospitality or a similar environment
  • Have a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
  • Stay calm, professional, and solution-focused under pressure
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with guests, team members, and law enforcement
  • Work well independently and as part of a team
  • Are flexible with scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Are knowledgeable in security procedures, emergency response, and crisis management
  • Have experience with CCTV and access control systems

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in a security-related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, team members, and the property while delivering professional, service-driven security support.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents with urgency and professionalism
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter and detect potential risks
  • Conduct routine patrols of public areas, back-of-house spaces, and guest floors
  • Operate and monitor CCTV, access control systems, and other security equipment
  • Identify and escalate suspicious activity or safety concerns
  • Investigate incidents by gathering information, interviewing involved parties, and documenting findings
  • Recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
  • Work closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, and other departments to ensure a coordinated security approach
  • Support emergency response efforts and follow all safety protocols
