You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide clear communication and customer service to staff and visitors. Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public government facility.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of reading areas, entrances, staff-only corridors, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and assist with visitor questions, directions, and policy reminders in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, and/or fire and intrusion alarms, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation, and communicate security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
