As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading aero and defense location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine foot patrols, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge checks, document activity, and communicate clearly with employees and visitors while delivering strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or irregular conditions.
  • Control access at gates and entry points by checking credentials, verifying authorization, issuing visitor badges, and directing traffic in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders, and assisting with orderly evacuations when directed.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activities, patrol findings, access control actions, and incident response, including timely escalation of security-related concerns through the proper chain of command.
