As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, greet drivers and visitors, and maintain clear logs of people and vehicle activity. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and communicate with site teams. You will bring agility, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, contractors and/or visitors by following site-specific access control procedures and other security-related policies.
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or building entrances by verifying identification, checking credentials and authorizations, issuing visitor badges and directing traffic flow as needed.
• Monitor and document inbound and outbound trailer, vehicle and/or pedestrian activity at the location, including logging deliveries, pickups and driver check-ins per post orders.
• Respond to alarms, incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate contacts and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by site.
