About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Arrestee Transport in Largo, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to incidents while providing strong customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license and adherence to Allied Universal driver policy. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be a graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent.
  • Client Requires Proof of HS Diploma/GED.
  • Be 21+ Years of Age.
  • Have 2+ Years' Law Enforcement/Military/Corrections Experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to Allied Universal clients and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and/or local law enforcement as required.
  • Monitor and control access at designated entry points, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and document visitor, vehicle, and contractor activity per site policy.
  • Complete timely documentation such as activity logs and incident reports, maintain required equipment readiness, and follow all applicable training, firearms handling, and use of force guidelines.
