Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR Associates Degree/60 College Credits OR Police Academy Certificate OR Corrections Academy Certificate is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Baton Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or public agencies as required by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, public areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Control access at designated entrances by verifying identification, monitoring visitor logs, screening deliveries as directed, and/or directing people to appropriate service areas.
  • Complete shift documentation such as incident reports, patrol activity logs, and equipment checks, and communicate observations to supervisors and/or site leadership.
