Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver in Greenville, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at an aero and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce incidents, and support access control and badge procedures. You will respond to security-related concerns with calm, clear communication and strong customer service, reflecting Allied Universal values of integrity and teamwork. This post requires a current armed guard card or license and a valid driver’s license meeting AU Driver Policy requirements. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, badge requirements, and access protocols at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, production or office areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and public emergency services as needed.
  • Control entry and exit at designated posts, verify identification and/or authorization, manage vehicle screening procedures when assigned, and maintain orderly visitor processing.
  • Document patrol activity, access events, and incident details in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
