As an Armed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to situations, document activity, and communicate clearly while providing a positive customer service experience. This is an armed post requiring an Armed Guard Card or license. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, donors, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and control entry and exit by verifying identification, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and documenting visitor activity per site policy.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and/or alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner, and coordinate with site leadership and local public services as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and location contacts.
