Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, where you will complete routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance. You will support patients, visitors, and staff with calm customer service and clear communication, while documenting observations and working as a reliable teammate in our caring, agile, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Have 6 months+ armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal and location-specific security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Perform armed patrol duties throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, and perimeter zones, completing regular and random patrols and documenting observed hazards, unsecured areas, and/or suspicious activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and coordinating with clinical staff, local law enforcement, and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Control access to sensitive areas such as emergency intake points and restricted corridors by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and assisting with visitor management and directions.
  • Operate within all applicable armed post requirements, including maintaining required permits, following use of force guidelines, conducting required equipment checks, and completing detailed incident reports and daily activity logs.
