As an Armed Patrol Officer in a leading tech and telecom location, you will complete routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and incident response with strong communication and customer service. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements, plus Act 235. Requirements

  • Have three or more years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess an Act 235 Qualification Pennsylvania only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and personnel by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
  • Carry and maintain authorized firearms and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws and/or regulations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and public emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter zones, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
  • Complete required reports and logs, monitor access points and security-related systems as assigned, and communicate unusual activity to site leadership.
