You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, manage access control and badging, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer service. Requirements
- Have 6 months or more of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a school location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or local emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, classrooms corridors, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter grounds; working environments and conditions may vary by location and schedule.
- Monitor access points and visitor flow by observing entry activity, assisting with sign-in and/or badge procedures as directed, and reporting suspicious or unauthorized activity.
- Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to Allied Universal management and site contacts, and assist with special events, arrivals and departures, and after-hours checks as assigned.
