About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Edinburgh, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an Armed Patrol Officer, conducting routine foot and vehicle patrols, staying highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and responding to concerns with calm, clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed role requiring a concealed carry weapons permit. Requirements

  • Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Have 1+ Years' Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience.
  • Be 21+ Years of Age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate parties and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned areas, including building interiors, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access by verifying identification and/or authorization, monitoring gates and entry points, and directing visitors according to site procedures.
  • Complete required reports such as incident, shift, and patrol activity logs, and communicate security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
