About The Position

As a Security Guard - Clinic Perimeter Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a busy healthcare location. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with calm, professional communication. You will also support staff, patients, and visitors with customer service while documenting observations and concerns. You will be part of an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security experience.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be 21 years of age or older.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns to report.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances and restricted areas, verifying identification and/or authorization when required, and directing visitors according to site procedures.
  • Complete shift activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations and site conditions to supervisors and/or site contacts, and use radio, phone, and other systems as needed.
