Job Description As a Security Guard - Driver Patrol Rounds in Columbus, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a high-tech data center location, you will complete routine patrols, perform access and perimeter checks, and document security-related activity while staying highly visible to help reduce incidents. This is a driving post, so you will also conduct mobile patrols as needed. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, access points, loading areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity for controlled areas, verify credentials as required, and help manage visitor check-in and/or deliveries according to site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting details, and supporting responding teams as directed.
  • Complete reports and logs, perform routine checks of doors, gates, and security-related equipment, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
