As an unarmed Patrol Officer in an education location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. You will support students, faculty, staff, and visitors through strong customer service while documenting observations and coordinating with site contacts as needed. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, and/or disorderly conduct, and communicate updates to campus contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter policy violations and/or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and campus activity using patrol observations and/or security-related systems such as alarms and camera systems, and report suspicious activity per site procedures.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and patrol logs, assist with visitor guidance and/or escorts as directed, and support campus events with presence, line management, and/or traffic direction when assigned.
