As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage site entry and badge verification, monitor activity, and conduct routine patrols to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Being assigned to a primarily driving post is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and the location.
- Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobby points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing key and badge controls, and maintaining accurate entry logs.
- Monitor cameras, alarm panels, and access control systems, and report irregular activity or unauthorized access attempts to the appropriate contacts.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting evacuations and coordinating with onsite leaders and/or first responders when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas such as parking lots, perimeter fencing, docks, and production-adjacent walkways to help to deter unauthorized activity and document observations per post orders.
