As an unarmed patrol officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with site teams, document observations, and provide helpful customer service to drivers, associates, and visitors. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, exterior perimeter, parking areas, and trailer or dock zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
• Monitor access points and shipping and receiving traffic flow, verifying identification, directing drivers and visitors, and documenting entries, exits, and unusual activity per site requirements.
• Complete detailed reports and logs, communicate observations to supervisors and client representatives, and assist with package and/or asset loss prevention measures as outlined in post orders.
