As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and access control needs, support badge and visitor processes, and document observations using a computer and/or tablet. Bring strong communication and customer service while working with a team that values integrity, teamwork, agility, and reliability.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, vendors, and employees by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery check-in and/or badge verification in accordance with site requirements, including truck and trailer movements at shipping and receiving.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, supporting evacuation and/or shelter procedures, and coordinating with on-site leadership and local responders as directed.
• Complete security-related reports and logs such as patrol activity, incident documentation, and daily shift notes, and communicate pertinent information during shift turnover.
