As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control points, observe and report unusual activity, and deliver strong customer service and communication to residents, guests, and staff. Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and property staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control expectations, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, disturbances, medical situations, and fire or water alarms, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, elevators, stairwells, and parking areas as assigned, checking for unusual conditions such as propped doors, unauthorized persons, or maintenance issues, and report findings.
  • Complete timely activity logs and incident reports, communicate shift updates during post handoff, and coordinate with on-site staff and/or emergency services when required.
