As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, and document observations. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years’ armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns for reporting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, access control concerns, and coordinating notifications to appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor and document security-related activity, including writing clear incident reports, logging patrols, and maintaining required records according to site procedures.
  • Support access control by observing visitor flow, verifying authorization where required, and assisting with directing individuals to appropriate departments while maintaining a professional presence.
