As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine foot patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to questions and concerns with strong customer service and clear communication, while documenting activity using a computer and/or tablet as needed. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Having customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas including common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, reporting concerns per post orders and escalating issues to property management and/or local responders as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance, gathering information, and completing required notifications.
• Complete detailed activity, incident, and patrol reports, and use required systems to document observations, hazards, and service requests.
