Job Description As a Security Guard - Full-Time Site Rounds in Fredericksburg, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to requests, document observations, and provide strong customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with clinical staff and local responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
- Monitor access points and public areas, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization as required, and assist with directing foot and vehicle traffic to support orderly operations.
- Complete detailed reports, incident documentation, and shift activity logs, and communicate observations and handoffs to Allied Universal supervision and location leadership.
