About The Position

As a Security Guard - Hospital Entry Patrol in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will conduct regular patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including appropriate emergency response activities, within a healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting staff, visitors, and patients as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access within the healthcare location.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards according to established protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare staff and first responders as necessary during emergency situations or drills.
