About The Position

As a Security Guard - Hospital Environment in Henderson, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and provide clear communication and customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. Due to the safety sensitive nature of this role, qualified candidates must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law. This assignment is in a healthcare facility. As such, a tuberculosis (TB) test and certain vaccinations may be required.

Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have a Guard Card or license preferred.
  • Be able to lift up to 20 lbs preferred.
  • Have CPR Certification preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary (within company and customer guidelines)
  • Transport deceased patients to the morgue, as needed
  • Assist in escorting patients from helicopter pad (high elevation) to the emergency room
  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing direction to visitors and coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assisting with visitor management, checking credentials as required, and reporting suspicious behavior or hazards through the appropriate channels.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate security-related concerns to supervisors and/or the client representative.
