Job Description As a Security Guard - Hospital Perimeter Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and professional customer service, and document observations as needed. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a hospital location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned areas, including corridors, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, observing and reporting unusual activity and/or hazards.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical assist requests as directed, and patient visitor concerns, coordinating with hospital staff and local responders as needed.
  • Control access at designated points by monitoring authorized entry, assisting with visitor direction and/or check-in processes, and helping to maintain orderly flow through lobbies and treatment areas.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and service calls in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate relevant information to site leadership, dispatch, and incoming shifts.
