About The Position

As a Security Guard - Mobile Patrol Driver in Katy, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a busy commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine vehicle and foot patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with tenants, visitors, and property teams. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, property policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout common areas, parking lots, loading areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and to identify maintenance or access concerns.
  • Monitor and control access where assigned, including checking credentials, directing visitor traffic, and supporting tenant move-ins and/or deliveries per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision as required.
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate security-related observations to the appropriate contacts.
