As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a renowned cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol galleries and public spaces, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet and assist guests, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and document observations with integrity. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a museum and gallery setting.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of exhibit areas, public spaces, entrances, administrative areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, check credentials as required, and assist with bag checks and/or visitor screening procedures in accordance with site guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, visitor disturbances, lost child situations, and/or alarms; document actions taken per post orders.
  • Complete detailed security-related reports and daily activity logs, communicate observations to site leadership, and coordinate with local first responders when directed.
