As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a government transit location, you will drive between assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, complete reports, and support riders and staff with professional communication. Your visible presence helps to deter security-related incidents while you respond to calls for assistance and check for unusual activity. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to riders, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at government transit facilities and/or transit property.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, documenting actions taken, and communicating updates to site leadership and/or public partners as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit centers, administrative areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity, identify hazards, and report maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and public areas, observe for suspicious behavior or policy violations, and assist with crowd control and/or line management during peak ridership periods or service disruptions.
• Complete detailed reports and logs, follow post orders, and coordinate with dispatch and/or local authorities when required to support security-related operations.
