As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, support access control, and assist customers and store teams with clear communication. You will use a computer or tablet for reports and incident updates. Requirements

• Have 2+ years of security experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related activity and escalating concerns through the proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or disruptive behavior by maintaining a visible presence, monitoring for policy violations, and communicating with store management as needed.
• Assist with access control and traffic flow by observing entry and exit activity, monitoring delivery activity when assigned, and providing directions and support to customers and associates.
