About The Position

As a Security Guard - Patrol in Glendale, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols of common areas and exterior spaces, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related concerns, and assist shoppers and tenants with directions, questions, and service needs. You will observe and report unusual activity, support access control practices, and communicate clearly with site contacts and your team while acting with integrity in a caring, people-first culture.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, service hallways, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including observing, documenting details, and requesting assistance from site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and delivery areas, assist with crowd flow during peak shopping periods, and support loss prevention efforts by reporting suspicious behavior and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete routine reports such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity summaries, and communicate relevant updates during shift turnovers.
